The Courtyard

Located in the center of the resort, The Courtyard's lush palm trees and manicured flower gardens offer the perfect complement to the dune-lined coastline of the Atlantic Ocean. The Courtyard accommodates up to 150 guests.

The Oceanfront Lawn

A sea of green grass overlooking a bluff of dunes and the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, The Oceanfront Lawn is located on the south side of the resort, near The Ritz-Carlton Ballrooms. This beautiful outdoor venue accommodates weddings of all sizes.

Reception

The Plaza Ballroom

This is the perfect ballroom for a small gala, accommodating 100-150 guests. Illuminated with four gorgeous chandeliers, we recommend adding pillar candles with trumpet vases for the ultimate romantic effect. The room also offers a large dance floor and stage, as well as a large private foyer ideal for a cocktail reception before dinner.

The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom

Elegant. Opulent. Luxurious. The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom offers a warm golden color scheme complete with spectacular crystal chandeliers. Accommodating up to 800 guests with a large stage and immense dance floor, the Ballroom can divide into three salons, each very private and accommodating up to 200 guests with a buffet or 300 with a plated dinner. This is the perfect setting for your grand gala wedding.

One of the talented catering and conference professionals will assist you with every detail of wedding planning to help create your dream wedding. In addition to our enclosed menu selections, our Executive Chef can prepare any choice of menu based on personal preference, religious observations or dietary restrictions to create a fine dining experience. With breathtaking wedding venues and personal service, our Amelia Island resort offers the perfect destination for your special day. The Ritz-Carlton is pleased to assist you with the selection of flowers, linens, music and décor and any other wedding planning needs to ensure your wedding celebration is the ultimate expression of your heritage and happiness.

  • What do I need to know before contacting the hotel?
    You should know the estimate number of guests, a date and an approximate budget for your event. If possible, choose a few alternate dates. Next, decide what your dream wedding is ... small intimate wedding; destination wedding or a grand gala.

  • Are there suggestions for planning my wedding?
    Create a wedding binder. Clip pictures from magazines and make notes about what you have liked at other weddings. This will help you with selecting flowers, cake, room décor and those special touches to make it uniquely yours.

  • What are the deposits based on and when are they due?
    Deposits are due at the signing of the catering agreement and based on 50% of the food and beverage minimum, plus the venue fee for the event space reserved. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Six months prior to your event, an additional 25% of the estimated charges are due. Three months prior to your event, the remaining 25% of the estimated charges are due and the estimated final balance is due 15 days prior to your event.

  • What local laws affect events at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island?
    Noise Ordinance: No loud noises are permitted after 9:45 p.m. during outdoor events.

  • What is required by the state of Florida for a legal wedding ceremony?
    Couples wishing to be married are required to obtain their own marriage license at any courthouse in Florida. Both bride and groom must be present and have proper identification. The cost of the license is payable by cash or money order. The marriage license will be issued at the time of application and is valid immediately for out-of-state residents and after three (3) days for Florida residents. It must be used within 60 days.

Audiovisual Services
  • We conveniently have state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment available in-house. Pricing is available upon request and 24-hour notice is requested. All audiovisual rentals are subject to a taxable service charge and sales tax.
     
Outside Vendors
  • Destination Services
    The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island offers a full-service design and planning experience to include ceremony and reception musicians, decor and floral services. We welcome the opportunity to partner with outside vendors and will assess fees based on the level of coordination required by the resort to support the outside vendor.

  • Legal Ceremony Arrangements and Photography
    These vendors will be retained and contracted by the client. The resort cannot and will not be responsible for the logistics of retaining these services. We reserve photography privileges for couples whose weddings or receptions are held at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.

  • Hotel Accommodations/Group Rates
    Based on availability and a minimum guarantee of 10 rooms per night with a two-night minimum, a block of rooms may be set aside at a special rate for your guests.

  • How do I arrange for flowers?
  • We recommend all your custom floral and décor requirements be arranged by one of our professional floral consultants. Our floral designers are on the cutting edge of floral design with their unique showcase of exquisite talent offering remarkable florals for your special day. Over 50 years of floral expertise comes together to create custom designs especially tailored to your specifications for your wedding.

  • What does The Ritz-Carlton provide for weddings and receptions?
  • Every detail is the result of a decision made by you, which ensures your wedding day is more than what you have ever dreamed. Our meetings and special events department, destination services and in-house floral studio will gently guide you through all the important stages of designing your special day, establishing a comfortable, confident rapport which, when the last detail is arranged, ultimately eliminates your anxiety and lets you feel as though you are a guest at your own wedding. No request is too large or detail too small to ensure a most memorable and meaningful celebration.

  • Whether your reception is an intimate dinner or lavish gathering, we offer a range of cuisines from hors d'oeuvres and signature cocktails to optional food stations and gourmet buffets or formal dinners with plated selections and synchronized service. All options are catered.

  • We offer a selection of cuisines for any dietary need. Please consult with your wedding planner for more details.

  • Our pastry chef will ensure your new life together gets off to a sweet start. Choose from our imaginative wedding cakes and patisseries or customize your own creative temptations.

  • All food and beverage pricing is subject to a taxable service charge and sales tax.

The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island is pleased to provide guests the opportunity to curate the ultimate engagement experience. Whether your fairy-tale proposal reflects a love of natural beauty and adventure or a love of fine dining and pampering in our award-winning spa, our Proposal Concierge will move heaven and earth to ensure that your proposal is executed flawlessly. Our Proposal Concierge works with each guest to ensure every detail reflects the uniqueness of the couple, be it constructing a wedding-cake shaped sandcastle, hiding a diamond ring inside a delicate chocolate seashell, or arranging a romantic beach side proposal by firelight under a blanket of stars. Should you choose, our photo concierge will capture images of the proposal so that you can savor the moment and cherish extraordinary memories to last a lifetime.

Say “I do” once more in a destination as memorable as your days together. The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island offers Vow Renewal Packages designed to celebrate your commitment as a couple, with a beautiful ceremony, fresh wedding flowers, and Champagne toast overlooking Atlantic Ocean beaches. Vow Renewal package pricing is inclusive of service charge and sales tax and must be accompanied by a dining experience on property. Appropriate for groups of fewer than 40 people. These are best for interaction with a leader seated at the head of the setup. Audiovisual is usually best set up at the open end of the seating.
