How can I make a reservation?
Reservations can be made by calling 213.763.4400 or by requesting a service online. We encourage you to reserve treatments at least one week in advance.
Is there a fee associated with using the Spa facilities without receiving services?
The use of Spa facilities, such as the Steam Room and Relaxation Lounges, is available to our guests at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles and JW Marriott Los Angeles, LA Live for a nominal fee if not partaking in a spa service. Outside guests, who are not staying with the hotel, must reserve a spa service in order to enjoy the facilities.
What is the minimum age requirement?
Spa facilities, including men’s and lady’s locker rooms and all spa treatments are accessible exclusively to our guests 18 years of age or older. For Spa Guests 15 years or older Salon services such as haircutting, make-up, manicures & pedicures are available; a parent must be present for full length of the treatment. For our younger guests, please consult the Spa Concierge.
What if I have health concerns?
Please notify the Spa reservations agent if you have high blood pressure, allergies, physical ailments, disabilities or are pregnant. While a few services should be avoided during pregnancy, there are treatments that can be enjoyed. When making your appointment, please notify the Spa reservations agent if you are pregnant so he or she can offer guidance. If you prefer a male or female therapist, please make your request when scheduling your treatment.
When should I arrive?
For your enhanced comfort and relaxation, we suggest you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled treatment to allow time to relax in the steam rooms and lounges. Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment. Your treatment will end on time so the next guest is not delayed. The full value of your treatment will be charged.
Should I shave before my treatment?
Shaving is recommended but not necessary for men prior to a facial. If you choose to shave prior to your facial, be sure to do so at least two hours prior to your appointment. Shaving is not recommended prior to body treatments or hair removal services.
What should I wear?
Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing, however, disposable undergarments are available on request. During all treatments, the body is fully draped, except for the area being worked on. Robes and slippers are provided in the ladies’ and gentlemen’s lounges before treatments.
What about my comfort?
This is your time and you should delight in the experience to the fullest. Whether it’s the room temperature, the amount of massage pressure or the volume of the music, please notify your therapist of any discomfort or preferences. We request that cell phones and pagers be turned off while in the Spa.
Where should I place my personal items?
If you are a guest of the hotel, please leave valuable items in the safe in your guest room. Otherwise, lockers are available for your personal items.
Is there a staff charge?
A 20 percent staff charge will be added to each spa service. The staff charge is shared among the therapists (18%), Spa Concierge (1%) and Spa Attendants (1%). At your discretion, you may leave additional gratuity for your therapist.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you must cancel your Spa appointment, please notify the Spa at least six hours in before your scheduled appointment to avoid being charged the full treatment and service fee. A credit card number is required at the time you reserve your treatments. Changes made on the day of the appointment will be subject to a $65 rescheduling fee. Cancellations of packages or private parties require 24 hours notice, unless other is stipulated in signed contract.
Please note that drinks or food cannot be consumed in The Spa.
Children must be over the age of 12 to utilize the Fitness Center or attend a Yoga class. Ages 13 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Ages 18 and older are permitted unaccompanied.
