Saturday, June 10: Erin Enderlin, Brice Long and Phillip Lammonds, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Grab a drink and meet us in the Backyard to listen to these familiar country artists. These three are some of the top songwriters in Nashville, and have written hit songs that you will find yourself singing along to..
Erin Enderlin is a singer-songwriter from Conway, Arkansas that’s known for her golden-era country backbone style. In 2020, she was featured as a breakthrough artist at the American Currents exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, included by Rosanne Cash in her Oxford American Music Issue article and playlist, and interviewed and highlighted in Elton John’s Rocket Hour show on episode #261. In 2021, Erin release Barroom Mirrors EP, frequently performed on the Opry and was named Arkansas’ Country Music Entertainer and Writer of the Year. You can find her heavyweight country writing style in Alan Jackson’s “Monday Morning Church”, Lee Ann Womack’s “Last Call”, Luke Bryan’s “You Don’t Know Jack” and other songs recorded by Randy Travis, Joey + Rory, Reba McEntire and more.
Brice Long, a 25-year songwriting veteran, is no stranger to the music scene. He has had songs recorded by Garth Brooks, Georgia Strait, Chris Stapleton, Hank Williams Jr, Reba McEntire, Chris Young and many more. His songwriting ability has earned him a CMA nomination for Song of the Year for Randy Houser’s “Like a Cowboy”. He has also written #1 singles “Heartache on the Dance Floor” by Jon Pardi and “Nothing On but the Radio” by Gary Allan. Brice is currently signed to Sony / ATV Music Publishing and his self-titled album is available on iTunes or wherever digital music is streamed and sold.
Phillip Lammonds, a songwriter and talented instrumentalist from the musically rich mountains of North Carolina, dedicates his melting pot of sounds and rhythms that formed his musical sensibility to his childhood in the mountains to his time in the South Carolina Lowcountry. After college, Phillip was a founder of The Blue Dogs, a beloved and critically acclaimed bluegrass and rock inspired jam band. After settling down in South Carolina with his family, Phillip rediscovered his love for songwritering and traveled to Nashville for fifteen years to pitch songs. You can find his writing recorded by Hootie and the Blowfish, Lee Brice, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Kellie Pickler and more. Now living in Nashville, TN, Phillip has a publishing deal from Curb Entertainment and a back catalog of nearly five hundred songs strong.
Sunday, June 18: Makayla Lynn, Abby Anderson and Ronnie Bowman, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Enjoy this summer night by listening to the soulful melodies of these three artists. This is a night of music you will not want to miss, with three talented songwriters ready to show their music to the lake.
Makayla Lynn is a “new artist you need to know”, according to Rolling Stone Magazine. She has spent time at #1 on the Country Music Television’s 12 Pack Countdown and is a two time East Coast Music Award Winner in Canada. After releasing a record with Grammy Award winning producer Keith Stegall and his daughter, Makayla’s growth as a songwriter and music-maker through her young years has allowed her artistry to settle into its place in the world of Country/Americana storytellers much like her influences.
Abby Anderson is an artist known for blending new age tones and personal, heart-felt storytelling with catchy, overarching pop melodies. Her authentic and genre-bending sound is sure to leave an impression on anybody listening. In 2018, she was recognized by Pandora as a “Country Artist to Watch” and was named on both the “CMT 18 for 2018” and “Next Women of Country Class”. Her debut EP accrued over 100 million streams since. After her European tour was cut short due to Covid in 2019, Abby stepped back and created her own identity, rather than trying to fit into a mold. Her lead single, “Bad Posture” was her way of breaking free of a cage and becoming herself again.
Ronnie Bowman is a household name in the Bluegrass community. With the release of four albums as a member of the Lonesome River Band, Ronnie also recorded four solo projects. He has been awarded IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year three times, has twice earned the IBMA song of the Year award ("Three Rusty Nails", and "Cold Virginia Night"), and was awarded the Gospel Performance of the Year award for "Three Rusty Nails". As a songwriter Ronnie has earned a great deal of respect not only among Bluegrass professionals, but also in Country Music. Both Brooks & Dunn, and Kenny Chesney have brought Ronnie Bowman originals to #1, and Lee Ann Womack also included a song by Ronnie on the multi-platinum selling album "I Hope You Dance"

Saturday, July 15: Averie Bielski, Mike Kennebrew and Anslee Davidson, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Get ready to sing the night away with three Georgia songwriters, including a Greensboro, GA native. With country backgrounds, listen to the inspiring lyrics of these talented up-and-coming artists.
Averie Bielski, born and raised in Roswell, GA, found her passion of music through playing guitar, singing and writing songs since she was a little girl. Using social media to launch her career, her debut single “I Do Too” was released in September of 2021. After posting parts of the song and a live performance on TikTok, Music Mayhem wrote it in a piece on it, calling it a tribute to Kacey Musgraves, Morgan Wallen, Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs and more. Now with 120K followers on TikTok, Averie is using her platform to promote her music and songwriting ability. Now residing in Nashville, TN, Averie continues to write songs weekly and is currently working on new music to release.
Mike Kennebrew knew he found his sense of purpose in music from a young age. Mesmerized by the power of music, Mike wanted to write songs that could grab the audience by the heart, or by the throat. His music can best be described as Indie folk, fueled by the soulful inspiration to engage in the war with art itself. Recently, Mike returned to Nashville on somewhat of a pilgrimage of the soul, where he recorded and then released various new songs: “In My Heart”, a vocal tribute as honest as the pedal steel that’s layered beneath it, for a dear friend who was suddenly made a widow only one year after her wedding and “What’s Left of Me”, an introspective on anxiety and the path that led him to search for reprieve through alcohol – something he has now put behind him for over a year – and now must embrace, unfiltered, his new reflection of self.
Anslee Davidson considers herself a small town girl from Greensboro, GA who writes songs inspired by life and art. At 16, she received a Golden Ticket on American Idol, before testing positive for COVID and having to leave the show. This only served to fuel her passion for music. Mixing Classic Country, Americana, Pop and R&B with a voice described by Katy Perry as “Timeless”, Anslee has compiled an impressive catalog of songs she performs throughout the Southeast. Her latest single, “Forget Me Not” was released in early 2023, landing her a spot on Spotify’s “Next from Nashville” playlist, and the official music video for the song is on CMT.com.
Saturday, August 12: Trannie Anderson, David DeVaul and Cameron Bedell, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
These writers are coming from Nashville, TN into Greensboro to dance the night away at the lake. As experts in the music writing industry, these musicians have written songs that have topped the country music charts.
Trannie Anderson has a knack for painting poetic portraits of small town living, set to dynamic, heartfelt melodies in a fresh, yet timeless way. Since 2018, she signed a co-publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing and has had songs recorded by artists such as Lainey Wilson, Dan + Shay, Meghan Trainor, Pentatonix, Reba McEntire and others. She has also had songs in ads/tv shows with T-Mobile, Dodge Ram, Marshall’s, American Idol and more. Listen as she artfully walks the line of deeply authentic storytelling in a universal fashion.
David DeVaul, an artist with 17 years of experience in writing songs, has collected an arsenal of Country, Pop, RnB, Hip Hop, Americana and Rock Music. David honed his musical craft while working a number of odd jobs to help support his musical career. While releasing his own music, he recorded a recent duet with Charlotte Leigh, “Love Like That”. David wrote songs for Red Marlow from The Voice and Rayvon Owens from American Idol.
Cameron Bedell is a Nashville based singer-songwriter from Wichita, Kansas. After being a contestant on Season 14 of American Idol, he recorded a cover of The Weeknd’s “Earned It”, which received after 20 million streams. Most recently, he penned the Jimmie Allen single “Down Home”, which became #1 on country radio for two straight weeks. He also had a release on the latest Dylan Scott record, “Tough”, inspired by his son Calvin. Cameron has produced Tiera alongside legendary Dan Huff and has co-written five total songs released by Tiera, including her first radio single, “Found It in You”. He had the Sony Music duo, Seaforth’s first radio single, “Breakups”, which is currently their highest streaming song on all platforms.
Sunday, September 3: Eric Dodd (Labor Day Weekend), 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Gather in the Backyard for our Songwriter Series with a crowd favorite, Eric Dodd. Sing along to your favorite songs and watch the night sky light up with fireworks to celebrate the holiday.
Eric Dodd is no stranger to the music scene. From playing in frat houses at college, to opening to for Sister Hazel in the Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA, to moving to Nashville and opening for legends, such as Sam Hunt, Old Dominion, Corey Smith and more. Eric has honed his craft by playing over 100 dates a year throughout the southeast, performing in clubs, dive bars, and music halls. His likable personality, feel-good lyrics, musicianship and energetic stage presence has earned him a faithful following in a region with strong musical tastes and a deep pool of talent.
