Great Falls Park

Get ready for 15 miles of hiking trails, including 5 miles used for horseback riding and biking. Three falls overlooks are within a 10-minute walk from the Visitors’ Center, and a bicycling trail starts just behind the center.
Meadowlark Botanical Gardens
Explore 95 acres of paths lined with cherry trees, peonies and irises, plus ornamental display gardens, wandering trails, majestic lake views and a restored 18th-century log cabin. The recently added authentic Korean Bell Garden is the only one of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.
Living History Program at Manassas National Battlefield Park
History comes alive at this national park. Ceremonies and living history events replicate the battles on the plains of Manassas with infantry and artillery demonstrations atop Chinn Ridge, at Groveton Confederate Cemetery and Brawner Farm in July and August.
Green Springs Garden
Add this secret garden tour to your itinerary. Green Springs Garden offers an “outdoor classroom” ideal for families and kids, or adults eager to learn gardening and landscaping skills. Be sure to visit the tropical greenhouse surrounded by a wooded stream valley with ponds. Parched? The Historic Green Spring Manor House offers popular tea programs.
Frying Pan Farm Park
Flashback to rural America. Frying Pan Farm Park re-creates a time from the 1920s to the 1940s when mechanical machines like the tractor and milking machines were among early advances to aid farmers. Kids can meet the farm animals and take classes, workshops and horseback-riding lessons.
