This is a city that barely sleeps. For live music and local beers, try Peel Fresco, a charming music venue that hosts local jazz and blues acts. Singapore is a city where change-makers meet and indulge in their passions. Dine at Clarke Quay, a Singapore nightlife hot spot located upstream from the mouth of the Singapore River and Boat Quay. Formerly a busy commercial area in the late 19th century, today the updated warehouse is alive with restaurants, wine bars, entertainment spots and retail shops.
Once the seat of 13 Chinese dynasties and the starting point of the Silk Road, Xi’an today offers a modern city filled with ancient sites and cultural traditions. For evening entertainment, the city’s Ming-era walls host an evening performance of A Song of Everlasting Sorrow. The show tells the love story of the Tang Dynasty emperor Xuan Zong and Yang Yuhuan, his beloved concubine.
Originally developed during the middle ages, the district of Gion is within walking distance from the hotel and offers a wide range of establishments where you can enjoy a Japanese dinner in a traditional Japanese setting. At night, the streets of Gion are lined with lanterns, geishas shuffle along the streets on the way to shows, and karaoke bars are filled with energetic singers.
